Isla Verde Registry Raises Stamp Fee to 0.5 Percent
The Isla Verde Land Registry raised its stamp fee from 0.4 to 0.5 percent of the declared price for transfers registered from 1 July 2026, after a grace period.
The Isla Verde Land Registry raised its stamp fee from 0.4 to 0.5 percent of the declared price for every transfer registered from 1 July 2026. The registry’s notice of 3 June gave buyers with signed contracts until 31 July to register at the old rate.
On a 180,000 CRC condo the increase is 180 CRC. On a 400,000 CRC villa lease it is 400 CRC. The fees and taxes guide carries the new rate in its worked examples.
Buyers signing in July should confirm which rate the notary has applied on the completion statement; two statements seen by this desk in the first week still showed 0.4 percent.
